The Use Case:

Scroll through an Earth data timeseries, served as an x/y/z/t datacube, and present the time-elevation slices visually.

The service:

The Microsoft CesiumJS Virtual Globe allows mapping not only surface data, but also different height levels simultaneously. We use CesiumJ to show a user-selected area, time, as well as height layers. Via a WCPS query generated from the slider and tick-box input time slices are extracted. Note that animation speed depends on your connection bandwidth. Such dynamically generated WCPS queries retrieve the height and time layers; start the animation and see the query change!
